I have come here bury Ceasar, not to praise him.
The noble Brutus told you that Ceasar was ambitious.
if that's true, it's a serious fault, and Ceasar has paid seriously for it.
However, the evil that men do is remembered after their deaths,
but the good is often buried with them.
it may be the same with Caesar.
With the permission of Brutus and the others,
I have come here to speak at Caesar's funeral.
Caesar was my friend. He was faithful and Just to me.
But Brutus says he was ambitious.
He brought many captives home to Rome whose ransoms brought wealth to the city.
Is this the work of an ambitious man?
When the poor cried, Caesar cried too.
Ambition shouldn't be so soft. Yet Brutus says he was ambitious.
You all saw that on the Lupercal feast day
I offered him a king's crown three times, and he refused it three times.
Was this ambition? Yet Brutus says he was ambitious.
I am not here to disprove what Brutus has said. but to say what I know.
You all loved him once, and not without reason.
Then what reason holds you back from mourning him now?
Man have become brutish beasts and lost their reason!

My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar, and I must pause until it returns to me.
수행평가가 끝난뒤,
방에서 연습을 하긴 했지만 막상 발표를 하려니 너무 떨려서 심장이 뛰는소리가 들릴정도였다.
혼자선 잘 읽혔던 것들이 갑자기 눈앞이 하얗게 되면서 글자가 기어다니는것 같았다.
그동안 스피치를 할 기회도 없었지만, 발표를 한다는걸 좋아하지 않아서 더 떨렸었다.
그래도 방에서 시간이 조금씩 남을때마다 틈틈이 읽었던것이 도움이 된것같다. 틈틈이 읽긴 했지만 적어도 5번은 넘게 읽었었다. 특히 연설문 마지막 구절은 다른부분 보다 더 열심히 연습했었다. 마지막이 연설문의 중요한 포인트라 생각했기에 연습했지만 막상 수행평가때 어딘가 틀린것같았다. 그래도 결과는 좋게나와서 기분은 좋았지만, 아쉬웠던 첫 영어 스피치 수행평가였다.
